About Author

Max Müller (1823–1900) was a renowned German scholar best known for his pioneering work in comparative language, religion, and mythology. He specialized in Sanskrit philology and played a key role in introducing Indian religious and philosophical texts to the Western world. Living much of his life in England, Müller was a professor at Oxford University, where he edited and translated numerous ancient Indian scriptures, including the Rigveda. His scholarly efforts greatly contributed to the academic study of Eastern religions and laid the foundation for the field of comparative religion.
