The book is divided in two parts. The first part introduces the Hindu Science of Architecture, its history, its scope and subject matter and qualities of an architect. The five scriptures of Vastusastra namely Samaraangana, Sutradhaara, Aparaaajita, Praccha, Manusyaalaya Chandrika, Mayamata and Raajavallabha, on different aspects of Vastu Sastra is praiseworthy. The five canons of Hindu Architecture are explained in detail to enable the reader to learn how the planning, proportions, measurements, various mathematical formulae, testing of soils, placement of trees round the building, and perspectives of structures are based on scientific principles. The second part is a free translation of Rajavallabha. Rajavallabha is a complete Vastu scripture.
