About Author
Mohan D. Gupte is an epidemiologist and a public health expert with forty-three years of experience in dealing with leprosy. A recipient of the International Gandhi Award, he is the founder and former director of ICMR-National Institute of Epidemiology (ICMR-NIE). He conducted several vaccine trials and clinical trials in the field of leprosy, and was the first chairman of the WHO Technical Advisory Group for Leprosy (TAG-Leprosy).
