About Author

Dr D P Kothari is an educationist and professor who has held leadership positions at engineering institutions in India including IIT Delhi, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur and VIT University, Vellore. Dr. Kothari obtained his B.E. in Electrical Engineering in 1967, M.E. with specialisation in Power Systems in 1969 and Ph.D. in 1975 from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (Rajasthan) India. He has received six Life Time Achievement awards by various agencies including ‘Living Legend’ Award in Chennai Conference. Currently, Dr. Kothari is with S.B. Jain Institute of Management, Research and Technology, Nagpur, serving as Director Research and Professor. Professor I.J. Nagrath obtained his B.E. with honours in Electrical Engineering from Birla Engineering College in 1951 and M.S. from the University of Wisconsin, USA, in 1956. He was Adjunct Professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (Rajasthan) India. He retired as a Professor of Electrical Engineering, Administrative Dean and Deputy Director of BITS Pilani (Rajasthan) in July 1999. His research interest includes power system engineering, electrical machines and drives, modern industrial control systems, power system reliability, and reliability evaluation of electric power components and systems. Dr. R.K. Saket is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi (UP), India. Previously, he was a faculty member at various renowned Institutes. His research interests include reliability engineering, electrical machines and drives, power system reliability, reliability enhancement of industrial components and systems, and reliability aspects in renewable energy systems. He has received many awards, honours and recognitions for his academic and research contributions, including the prestigious Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Award–2018.
