During the chaos of that tragic night, Elinor Coombes’ secret went down with the Titanic—but as secrets often do, it eventually surfaced. Trapped in an unhappy aristocratic marriage, Elinor’s life feels cold and lonely until her father gifts her tickets for the Titanic’s maiden voyage, offering a brief escape and precious time with her young son, Teddy. When the ship sinks, Elinor sees the disaster as an unexpected chance to start fresh—if she and Teddy can vanish, declared among the dead. With no money and assuming another woman’s identity, Elinor must navigate a harsh new world far removed from her privileged past while protecting their secret. This uplifting story is about seizing opportunities, finding courage, and discovering one’s true self.
