About Author

Yunus A. Çengel is a prominent mechanical engineer and educator known for his contributions to thermodynamics and heat transfer. He has authored widely used textbooks, including Thermodynamics: An Engineering Approach and Heat and Mass Transfer: Fundamentals and Applications. Çengel holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and has taught at various institutions, including the University of Nevada, Reno. John M. Cimbala is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Penn State University, where he earned his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering before pursuing his M.S. and Ph.D. in Aeronautics at CalTech under the mentorship of Professor Anatol Roshko. His expertise spans experimental and computational fluid mechanics, heat transfer, turbulence modeling, turbomachinery, indoor air quality, and air pollution control.
