“What exactly is this controversy about Netaji’s ‘disappearance’?

About 100 secret files on Netaji were declassified in January 2016.

Does new evidence offer new information on plane crash in 1948?

The Bose Deception: Declassified opens a window to this and much more.

In January 2016, the Government of India began declassifying secret files related to the mysterious disappearance of Subhas Chandra Bose at the end of the second world war. No one could have imagined that even seventy years after Bose’s disappearance, the government had been holding more than three hundred files on him in utmost secrecy.

The official view that Bose died in a plane crash in Taiwan never found public acceptance, leading to multiple inquiries. Claims, counter-claims and conspiracy theories continued to complicate the mystery for nearly seventy-five years, primarily because allegedly all information had been kept hidden from public view.

Through fascinating investigative work, Anuj Dhar and Chandrachur Ghose have rummaged through more than thousand files declassified since 2007 to unentangle the complex web of a deception plan, that has kept the whole country on tenterhooks for decades. They unravel the plot layer by layer to tell a story that is bound to shock the readers.”

    Must be good

I find it challenging to review a book that not only tells a compelling story but also serves as a meticulously crafted summary of the declassified files related to our revered leader, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose—documents that have largely remained hidden from the public eye.

I am profoundly grateful to Anuj Dhar and Chandrachur Ghose, the authors of this remarkable work, for bringing this vital narrative to light. Their efforts illuminate the truth for those who may be unaware, including members of the Congress and other political parties, urging them to confront the reality of Netaji’s legacy. This book not only challenges the longstanding narrative that he perished in a plane crash but also advocates for the full release of the files that have been kept secret for too long.

I am deeply grateful to Anuj Dhar and Chandrachur Ghose for bringing this crucial story to light. Their work uncovers truths that have been hidden from public view for far too long, and it challenges even our own government, which has hesitated to release all the documents on Netaji, to finally address his true legacy.

This is the seventh book in my collection from Anuj Dhar and Chandrachur Ghose, following “Bose”, “Conundrum”, “India’s Biggest Cover-up”, “What Happened to Netaji”, “Your Prime Minister is Dead”, and “Government Doesn’t Want You to Know This”. I hope that even a small step from the government toward revealing the truth can lead to a meaningful change.

A must read, it is detail oriented and is about the declassified files and many other details. The font is big so it is an added advantage.
